My Thrifty Finds

MY Necklace

First of all, before I start this post I’d like to take the time to thank Becca from Blue Cricket Design and her readers. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. It’s an honor being able to put this button on my page. :D

Now, let’s move on.

I love shopping with my mom. She and I always find the best things at our local thrift stores.

Goodwill is nice, but our favorite place to go is to St. Vincent de Paul, which I think only exists in Arizona. It’s small, but they always have great stuff, plus the employees are really helpful and it’s just closer to our house. Woohoo for conserving gas!

We went over there yesterday looking for a new night stand and zip, zilch, nada. No new night stand for my poor mommy. :(

But we did find some really nice things for moi. :)

Like this dress. You might not know this, but I feel like blue is my color.

And I’m definitely a sucker for designs like this. Especially if they’re floral.

This shirt still had the tag on it. Bwahaha. It’s a size too big, but that’s nothing that I can’t fix. I just need a nice looking belt or some quick sewing action. Trust me, it’s five times prettier in real life.

I also found this cute pair of shorts.

And this pair too.

Plus this pair. They all look like they’ve only been worn a couple of times. The last one actually looks brand new!

I found this pair of not-shorts (AKA capris) too. Maybe I own too much khaki, but what can I say. It goes really well with blue!

Best of all, I found this pretty little gem. I’m not much of a jewelry person, but I LOVE this necklace. Yes, capital letter, bolded word love. I’m actually wearing it right now. It makes me so happy. :D

The total came to $25.00. Most shorts cost $25.00 and I got 3 pairs of them, 1 pair of capris, 1 shirt, 1 cute dress, and a necklace I’m in love with. Isn’t that the definition of a good deal?

Have you made any thrifty purchases recently? Have you found a particular piece of clothing or an accessory that you absolutely loved in the capital letter, bolded word sense of the way?
